I\u00a0propose a new approach, situated at the crossroads of social anthropology, network analysis and law, in an attempt to\u00a0include the issue of early marriage in the analysis of a human group, in terms of kinship and surrounding networks as well as\u00a0the production of an autonomous legal structure.<\/p>\n<p>The study will privilege multi-situated participant observation of a kinship network in the originally eastern Romanian\u00a0community that terms itself \u201cBessarabian Roma\u201d. Today they have been settled in Milan and Paris for some fifteen years.\u00a0Their practice of early marriage will be analysed with a focus on the importance of \u201cwomen\u2019s agency\u201d. This choice also aims\u00a0at the empowerment of educated Roma women sitting on a Romni Advisory Board set up for the purposes of the project.
