Giulia Selmi holds a Ph.D. in Sociology and Social Research at the University of Trento. She worked as post-doctoral researcher at the University Mohammed V of Rabat (Morocco) and as research fellow at INED – the French National Institute of Demographic Studies in Paris. She’s currently research fellow at the University of Verona within the FamilyLives Project. She’s part of the editorial board of AG – About Gender, International Journal of Gender Studies and member of the Center of Interdisciplinary Gender Studies of the University of Trento.  Among her publications: Sex Work. Riflessioni e strumenti per articolare la complessità, Roma, Carocci, 2010.  Her main research interests are: gender and education, sociology of the family and kinship, sexuality and queer studies.
