Before Mario Mieli in\u00a0Elementi di critica omosessuale<\/i>\u00a0(1977), before Guy Hocquenghem in\u00a0Le D\u00e9sir homosexuel<\/i>\u00a0(1972),\u00a0in Homosexual: Oppression and Liberation<\/i>\u00a0(1971) Dennis Altman announced the gay, lesbian and trans* revolution to the world. Much time has passed since those passionate 1970s. Many have been the achievements of the LGBTQIA+ movements \u2013 not all of them in line with the demands of the time. Never forgetting his political commitment, in numerous subsequent publications Altman has been a keen, participant, and critic observer of this story.<\/p>\n

Fifty years after the publication of the first Italian translation of the book that made him justly famous, and on the occasion of the release of the second translation, in Turin, Milan and Bologna, Altman will meet students and activists. We will hear directly from his voice what he thinks about the past and the present: it is an opportunity not to be missed, we are waiting for you!<\/p>\n
