The seminar will be held by Dorthe Bleses, PhD (Aarhus University, DK), in the PhD students’ room- Zorzi building, Lungadige Porta Vittoria 17, Verona.
Dorthe Bleses, PhD, is a full professor at the Aarhus University (Denmark), School of Communication and Culture- Linguistics. Her research has focused on 1) development of assessment instruments; 2) mapping of children’s language acquisition in typical and atypical populations from 0 to 6 years; 3) quality of early childhood settings, and 4) development and evaluation of home- and daycare-based interventions. She has developed and/or adapted a range of assessment tools to be used for national language screening programs, including a new CDI for educators. Other instruments include measures of socioemotional skills, math and executive functions. Finally, she has conducted several large-scale randomized trials in daycares focusing on language, literacy and other developmental areas.
