Elisa Venturini is a doctoral student in Philosphy at the Department of Human Sciences of University of Verona. Drawing on the work of Nicole Loraux, her research project combines classical and critical political philosophy, radical democratic theory and critical urban studies, queer theory, transfeministand LGBTQ studies. She aims to interrogate the polis in relation to identity-based conceptions of citizenship, focusing on nationalism, familism, heterocisnormativity, racism, and patriarchy. She published the monograph Tutta nostra la città. Prospettive trans*femministequeer per sovvertire lo spazio urbano (Asterisco Edizioni, 2025), based on her master’s thesis defended in 2023 at the University of Verona.
