Fabio Libasci is a researcher in French literature at the University of Insubria. He is interested in the writings of the self, in the relationships between literature and photography, in Francophone literature from the Maghreb and in the representations of masculinity. In his research the body and the expression of desire occupy a central place.

In 2016 he edited (with S. Genette, J.-M. Roulin and A. Badin) Littérature et sida, alors et encore (Brill-Rodopi), in 2018 he published Le passioni dell’io. Hervé Guibert reader of Michel Foucault (Mimesis) and in 2023 he edited (with A. Genon) Hervé Guibert. Les échos d’une œuvre d’hier à aujourd’hui (Classiques Garnier). His translation of the “Rapport Stora” is currently being printed. Over the last ten years he has participated in many conferences and published several essays on Barthes, Gide, Green and Proust.

In 2025, as part of his course in French history and culture, he will coordinate some seminars dedicated to the representations of masculinity in French and Francophone literature of the 20th century.
