Educational and training pathways to fight the Neets’ social and work exclusion. Suggestions, proposals, criticalities

Abstract

Starting from a critical reflection on the Neet concept, this paper shows the state of the art regarding projects dedicated to the re-integration of young people who do not study, do not work and are not in training in Italy. In order to curry out the study, we used scientific papers and/or the so-called gray ma- terial publisched in the last five years. This work can be fundamental to deal with the dramatic situation in Italy, which according to Eurostat, holds the European record for the percentage of young people between 20 and 34 years of age in conditions of inactivity and unemployment (27.8%). In addition this study can be a useful theoretical and empirical reference for the research activities of the PRIN project (project of relevant national interest) “RE-SER- VES”, which involves a research unit of the Department of Education, Roma Tre Univeristy in order to make a reasearch concerned an e-learning treaning.
