The Verona Èuropa Festival promotes a series of events and initiatives aimed at fostering greater attention to current issues related to European and international politics, as well as strengthening the city of Verona’s role as an important center for debate and discussion on the topics and issues addressed in the most important institutional and democratic settings of the European Union and international organizations.

A festival organized by the City of Verona, with the University of Verona and the Province of Verona. The University of Verona’s initiatives were conceived and organized by the European Documentation Center (Department of Legal Sciences), in collaboration with the Hannah Arendt Center for Political Studies (Department of Human Sciences) and the Center for European Studies (Department of Culture and Civilization).

The events in collaboration with the Hannah Arendt Center for Political Studies include:

  • Crimea in the Geopolitical Context. Insights, Perspectives, and Analysis. Presentation of the book “Crimean Tatars” with Maville Demirdzhaieva (event in English with consecutive translation for the discussion).   • The Influence of the Protracted War on Ukrainian Society, 2022–2026. A meeting with Mykhailo Minakov, author of the book “Post-Soviet Humanity. Philosophical Reflections on Post-Soviet History” (event in English with consecutive translation for the discussion).   • Presentation of the book “A Long History in Brief. Ukraine’s Struggle against Russian Domination.” A meeting with the author Mariam Naiem (event in English with consecutive translation for the discussion).
