Jane’s Walk

On the occasion of Jane’s Walk, on Saturday, May 3rd, from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., La Linea Rossa is organizing a neighborhood walk through Borgo Roma.
This “urban walk,” inspired by the ideas of anthropologist and activist Jane Jacobs, takes place simultaneously with other events around the world in celebration of her birthday.

The walk will explore Borgo Roma to get to know the people who live there and the community spaces that shape the neighborhood — tracing the past, present, and future of its urban areas.
Together, we will uncover the history of this part of southern Verona and reflect on its challenges as well as its potential for transformation.

Meeting point: Magazzini Generali (north entrance), Via Santa Teresa 2 (headquarters of the Architects’ Association).

The initiative is organized by COCAI and the University of Verona with the Hannah Arendt Research Center, as part of the La Linea Rossa project, in collaboration with Energie Sociali.
Supported by Fondazione Cariverona and the Municipality of Verona.
