Fabio Aurelio D’Asaro

Fabio D’Asaro received his BSc in Computer Science from the University of Palermo, where he was supervised by prof. Settimo Termini, and his MSc in Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Logic from the University of Manchester, under the supervision of prof. Jeff Paris. In 2019, he got a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from University College London with a thesis on logical methods for temporal, epistemic and probabilistic reasoning. Parts of his PhD thesis were published on some of the most prestigious AI journals and conference proceedings. More recently, he was postdoctoral researcher at the University of Naples Federico II, in the PRISCA Laboratory of Robotics, and at the University of Milan in the LUCI (“Logic Uncertainty Computation and Information”) Group at the Department of Philosophy. He currently is Assistant Professor at the University of Verona. His research mainly concerns logical approaches to Explainable and Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence. He is a member of the KIDS (“Knowledge Information and Data Science”) Group at University College London and of the SPIKE (“Structured and Probabilistic Intelligent Knowledge Engineering Group”) Group at Imperial College London.

RESEARCH INTERESTS: Fabio’s research interests mainly concern logical models of uncertain, probabilistic, temporal and epistemic reasoning, as well as their applications to Transparent and Trustworthy AI.
