Francesco Pedrazzoli

I graduated from the University of Padua in 2017 with a thesis on Being and Time by Martin Heidegger and The Persuasion and Rhetoric of Carlo Michelstaedter. I continued my studies in philosophy at the University of Verona, concluding my second degree in philosophy in 2020 with a thesis entitled Future anterior. From Norbert Wiener’s informational mechanism to algorithms. I am currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Verona in the Department of Human Sciences where I study the philosophical, ethical, and epistemological implications of the new ICT (information and communication technology).

RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research fields are varied and I am both interested in the continental and analytic tradition. However, in recent years my studies have been focused more on ethical / epistemological issues arising from recent technological developments. I am currently working on the concept of agency in the ethical and epistemological fields in relation to new ICT technologies and on the interaction between the human and the artificial agency.
