Giacomo Buoncompagni

Giacomo Buoncompagni, PhD, is a research fellow in sociology at the Lumsa University of Rome. He teaches Sociology of Journalism at the University of Verona, Sociology of Tourism and Territory and Information and Communication for Security at Ciels, and Power, Information and Intelligence at the University of Bologna. In 2019 he won the Pareto Prize for Sociology; he has published several articles and essays on immigration, security and digital media and is the author of the volumes Forme di Comunicazione criminologica. Il crimine come processo comunicativo (Aras edizioni), Cybermigration. La dimensione digitale dell’immigrazione (PM edizioni) and Digital Networks. Appunti di sociologia digitale (Postmedia Books).
