The conference “LGBTQIA+ Politics, Rights, Equality. Actions, Reactions, Resistances”, taking place on 29–30 January 2026 at the University of Verona, is the final conference of the PRIN PNRR 2022 project, dedicated to the processes of institutionalization, contestation, and transformation of LGBTQIA+ rights in the European context.

Bringing together scholars, activists, professionals, and civil society groups, the conference offers a structured and multidimensional dialogue on public policies, mobilizations, anti-gender discourses, practices of resistance, and forms of institutional innovation.

Through international keynote lectures, thematic panels, and moments of collective discussion, the initiative aims to critically examine the dynamics currently shaping the field of LGBTQIA+ rights, fostering a dialogue between empirical research, theoretical reflection, and social practices, with the goal of producing knowledge that is relevant both to academic debate and to the public sphere.
