Elisa Virgili is a research fellow at the University of Bergamo. She obtained her PhD in Philosophy of Social Sciences at the University of Insubria and was a visiting researcher at the Center for Gender research in Uppsala (Sweden). She graduated in Political Philosophy at the University of Padua. Her research interests include language and gender, queer theory and the relationship between sport and gender. She holds a political philosophy workshop at the University of Milan, the prison of Opera and the prison of Bollate. She was recently visiting researcher at the Centre for Sexology and Sexuality Studies in Malmo and is translator of Jack Halberstam’s text Gaga Feminism. Sex, gender and the end of the norm.
