Irene Villa is a PhD candidate in Human Sciences and Philosophy at the University of Verona. She graduated in Political Philosophy at the same University with a thesis on Foucault’s thought and its deployment by contemporary neoliberal managers. Currently, she is focusing on the theorization of lesbianism in the work of feminist and queer theorists, such as Luce Irigaray, Monique Wittig, Judith Butler and others. She is also engaging with queer debates on the process of normalization of homosexual identity and of lesbian identity in particular.
