Conference Overview

The Call for Papers is open to scholars, activists, and institutional representatives, with the aim of fostering a multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral dialogue.

The conference will be structured around three main sections: Actions | Reactions | Resistances

Keynote Speakers

• Matteo Bassetti (University of Essex): Trans Pathologization as an Act of Torture: Human Rights and Queer Resistance

• Kristina Stoeckl (LUISS University): The Global Fight Against LGBTQIA+ Rights: A Political Double-Helix

Participation and Deadlines

Proposals should include a title and an abstract of approximately 500 words.

Deadline for abstract submission: October 31, 2025.

Proposals must be submitted by completing the online form available HERE.

Admission to the conference is free of charge.

A welcome dinner on January 29 and a lunch on January 30 will be provided.
Travel and accommodation expenses are to be covered by participants.

The conference will be entirely in Italian.
