From Verona to the Balkans and Return: Geobalkans meets One Bridge to Idomeni and Interzona

The ERASMUS+ Geo-philosophy of the Balkans (GEOBALKANS) project is coordinated by the American University of Europe in Skopje, and has as partners the Singidunum University of Belgrade, the Panteion University of Athens, the Orientale University of Naples and the University of Verona. Its aim is to develop study programmes on contemporary political phenomena involving the Balkans, bringing together various traditions of critical theory and multiple disciplines of the humanities and social sciences in order to promote democracy, justice, equality, dialogue and reconciliation.

On the occasion of the fifth project transnational meeting, GEOBALKANS meets two association of Verona to question how the recent and current history of the Balkans have intersected and intersect with the history and the actuality of Verona. Where do the Balkans begin and where do they end? And what if some recent and significant experiences of civil society in Verona also placed our city in the Balkans?
The meetings, open to the citizenry, will be held in English.
